Lãf Erickson

Mr. Lãf Erickson is a Certified Professional Soil Scientist/ Soil Classifier (CPSS/SC), holding certifications with Soil Science Society of America and ARCPACS. He is a Delaware Department of Natural Resources and Environmental Control (DNREC) Licensed Class A Percolation Tester and Class D Soil Scientist. Mr. Erickson graduated from the University of Maryland with a Bachelor of Science degree in Soil and Water Conservation (1995). Mr. Erickson is currently the residing private Class D Soil Scientist on the Delaware On-Site Systems Advisory Board (OSSAB) and has previously served on boards for professional organizations such as DOWRA and MAPSS. He has extensive knowledge of coastal plain geomorphology, soil classification, and siting on-site wastewater treatment systems. Mr. Erickson’s soils experience on the Delmarva Peninsula extends back to 1995, including site evaluations for On-Site Wastewater Treatment and Disposal Systems (OWTDS)/septic in Delaware, Virginia and Maryland, community feasibility studies, basement investigations, stormwater management infiltration structure/wet pond investigations, and soil mapping for soil resource and land-use decisions. He has completed extensive continuing education courses to stay current with new concepts in soil science, state/federal regulations, and wastewater technology.
